We Believe To Receive
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24).
In Christianity, believing is a means to an end, not an end in itself; you believe to receive. So many people believe in Jesus, but they aren’t conscious of what their “believing” is supposed to produce for them. Thus, their believing only translated to religion because they got nothing out of it. To believe without receiving something is mere religion, and Christianity is not a religion.
You don’t just say, “I believe,” and the receive nothing. If you truly believe, the necessary result of your believing is to have; our believing brings us possession: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Most have emphasized only on the believing part, and have never thought of the result of their believing. When you believed in Christ something happened; you received eternal life into your spirit. Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47). You’re not supposed to believe for nothing; you believe to have. Our consciousness of what we receive because of our believing is important. Jesus said in John 11:40 “If you believe, you will see the glory of God” Romans 10:10 (WNT) says “For the heart men believe and obtain righteousness and with the mouth they make confession and obtain salvation.”
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of your Word to me today. Not only do I believe the things you’ve said concerning me in your Word, I receive and endorse them, and like faithful Abraham, I’m the possessor of all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God’s Unconditional Love For You
God’s Unconditional Love For You
But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him. Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way (Romans 5:8-9 MSG).
God’s love for you is unconditional, eternal and perfect. He’s not going to love you more when you get to heaven than He already does today. The Bible says “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Consequently, there’s nothing you could do today, having been born again, that’ll make God love you more or less, for His love for you is perfect, and you can’t improve on perfect.
Why I’m sharing this with you today? It’s so you can have faith and confidence in the Father’s unconditional love for you. He didn’t love you because you were so holy and never did anything wrong; He loves you because that’s His nature! As Pastor Chris often says, “He cannot “not” love you!” When you’re conscious and confident of the Father’s love for you, your faith will be more productive, for faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). More so, there’s no fear in love, for perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
When some Christians make mistakes they find it difficult to accept that God would forgive them. So even after asking for His forgiveness, out of ignorance, they think God still holds their sin against them, and as a result, some have lost faith and have stopped going to church altogether. If you’re in such a situation you need to understand who God is; He is not a man, and He doesn’t count your sins against you because He loves you unconditionally.
Think about it: If God so loved you while you were yet a sinner, and sent Jesus to die for you, how much more will He shower His love on you now that you’ve received abundance of grace, and His wonderful gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17). Therefore, instead of wishing the world would come to an end because you did something wrong, just receive His forgiveness and continue in your journey of faith! 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all righteousness.”
You need to understand how God deals with His children when they make mistakes. A man might impose strict penalties on an offender, but God totally blots out all the records of your wrongs when you receive His forgiveness (Isaiah 1:18). He holds nothing against you. In fact, to Him, you never did anything wrong; you’re as perfect as Jesus is because your righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Precious Father, how you have loved me unconditionally! I trust in your love and walk in the light of it today as you’re in the light. Hence, I know there’s therefore now no condemnation for me! I belong to you forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Christ Is A Place
Christ Is A Place
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
In John 14:2-3 Jesus said “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Many misinterpret this portion of Scripture to mean that when someone gives his life to Christ, God starts building a mansion for him (or her) in heaven. That’s not true. In the verse above, Jesus wasn’t talking about heaven. He was referring to our place in Christ.
There’re no mansions being built in heaven for anybody. The Bible says all the works in heaven and in the earth were finished from the foundations of the world (Hebrews 4:3).The angels aren’t building structures in heaven. Heaven is a beautiful place, and it’s already been built. The place Jesus went to prepare for us is our place in the right hand of the Father, where we now sit with Him in the heavenly realms, far above all principalities and powers. That place is also called Christ.
So, not only is Christ a Person, He’s also a place. That’s what the Apostle Paul alludes to in our opening scripture. We are in Christ. We’ve been made to sit together with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6); that the place Jesus went to prepare for us and we’re there now. You came into Christ when you were born again; it’s a heavenly realm called Zion, the city of the living God. That’s the city of our habitation: “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).
In Christ there’s no sin, sickness, disease, failure, poverty, defeat, weakness or death; all you have is health, joy peace, success, strength, prosperity, beauty and life forevermore! That’s your place of inheritance; it’s the place of divine authority and power, where you reign and rule over satan and the cohorts of darkness.
So when you say “I’m in Christ,” you ought to understand the import of that statement, for it means that’s where you live; your address is Christ! Therefore, view the world from there.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you, in the Name of Jesus, for raising me up and making me to sit together in heavenly places in Christ! Not only does Christ live in me, I’m in Christ, and I function from the heavenly realms of glory, as the heavenly man in Christ. Hallelujah

The True Essence Of Prayer
The True Essence Of Prayer
Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16).
Many often chastise themselves for not being able to pray for long hours. What is the significance of long prayer times? you might want to ask. Well, God never said we must spend long hours in prayers for Him to hear us. He never told us how long our prayers should be and doesn’t demand from us many hours of prayers as the definition of time by some is. But if you spend long hours, that’s great. Remember, He lives in eternity; therefore, He’s not regulated by minutes and hours as we are in the earth. So, in a sense, the significance or essence of prayer is not in its protraction in terms of the number of hours spent praying. It’s not “how long” you pray that really makes an impact; it’s “how right” you pray.
Many spend long hours in prayer, saying the wrong things, hence their lives are unfulfilled, being void of the spiritual results and impact of prayer. They have missed the true essence of prayer, which is fellowship and communion with the Lord. That communion not only builds your relationship with Him, but also helps transform your personality from glory to glory.
What God wants is for you to spend quality time alone with Him, away from everything else. For example, you’d be amazed how much impact a fifteen or thirty minute time alone with the Lord, spent praying intensely in the Spirit, will produce in your life.
Of course, it’s desirable and advisable to spend longer periods with the Lord in fellowship. All that’s required is discipline. You have to learn to stay at the place of prayer. Lately, we’ve been observing intense moments of prayer regularly, as I notify those following on Twitter. And many who have been disciplined enough to participate in the prayer times have shared testimonies of how they were able to go beyond the regular fifteen minutes of prayer to twenty or thirty minutes, and some others to even an hour. This happened, not because they were hitherto doing it but because they found they had so much more to say to the Lord during such blissful atmosphere of fellowship.
The significance of prayer is therefore not its length, especially in the eyes of others; it’s the beauty of fellowshipping with the Most High, away from everything else. That fellowship enriches and strengthens your spirit, while improving your life in a tremendous way.
Prayer
Dear Father, I love you and appreciate every opportunity I have to fellowship with you in prayer. I thank you because those moments I spend alone with you are significant in improving my life and shaping my destiny as I get synchronized with your perfect will for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

It’s a Day Of Joy And Thanksgiving!
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15).
Jesus taught on the importance and benefit of worship and thanks giving using the story of the ten lepers: And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole” (Luke 17:12-19).
He commended the one who returned to give glory to God, and said unto him, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” By coming to thank God for his miracle, he got something more than healing; he was made whole. Everything he had lost as a result of the leprosy was completely restored. As you take stock of the year, it’s not a time to complain, grumble, or reminisce over the failures and disappointments of yesterday! Rather, let it be a time of gratitude, praise, joy, and thanksgiving. Let it be a time to count your blessings and worship the Lord specially and passionately from your spirit.
So today, as you review your experiences and achievements for the year, it’s important that you count your blessings and rejoice over what the Lord has done for you. Celebrate His goodness and many blessings upon your life throughout the year. Appreciate and worship Him from the very depths of your heart, for His great love, kindness, mercy and grace experienced this year. Celebrate Him for His goodness and wonderful works in your life. Give Him the sacrifice of true worship, make confessions to His Name. Show Him how grateful you are for leading and guiding you through the year in safety, health, victory, success, and prosperity!
Express yourself lavishly in worship and praise to the Lord today as you count your blessings in the outgoing year, and contemplate the greater blessings He has in store for you in the coming year. Rejoice and be glad, for it’s a day of joy and thanksgiving.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I worship you today from the bottom of my heart, for your love, kindness, grace and tender mercies! You're glorious and worthy to be praised; may your Name be glorified forever in my life and in all the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Life Without Limits!
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:11-12).
Society may place limits on you; your family background, the nation where you live, your education, job description, business, or finances could place limits on you. But there’s a life without limits; that’s the life Jesus brought to us; it’s the transcendent life of glory where there are no limitations.
Many know nothing about this kind of life, and so they think it doesn’t exist. That they know nothing about it doesn’t make it unreal; after all, there was a time people thought it was impossible to fly an airplane, but that, however, has become common place today. The Word teaches of a life without limits, and that’s the life to which everyone who’s born again has been called. A life unlimited by sickness, disease, failure, the devil or anything!
Jesus proved it was possible to live this triumphant life when He walked the earth. He lived a life that was greater than anything that existed on the terrestrial plane. He refused to be limited by the circumstances of this world. He tamed nature. The Bible tells us how He defied the laws of nature by walking on water (Matthew 14:25), and hushing the sea to sleep (Mark 4:39).
Not even satan, death, or the grave could limit Him. When He died, the Bible says through that death, He paralyzed him that has the power of death, that is, the devil (Hebrews 2:14). Thereafter, He rose triumphantly from the grave. This is the life to which you’ve been called where nothing can hinder or place limits on you. According to our opening scripture, you received this life when you were born again.
Now that you have this life in you, refuse to function according to your natural human abilities and take up God’s limitless power that’s been deposited in your spirit! The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:5, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God…” The word “sufficiency” is translated from the Greek, “hikanotes,” which means ability or competence. Thus, your ability to perform is of God; that means it’s unlimited. God gave you His ability so you won’t have to function with your own limited abilities but with His limitless and exhaustible strength.
Confession
I’m born again; therefore, I’m not ordinary. As the Father has life in Himself, even so has He given me to have His kind of life; life without limits. Thus, I function with supernatural strength and abilities today; nothing and no one can hurt or harm me for my sufficiency is of God! Hallelujah.
