Tip #4: Sewing machines are overrated. You don t have to have one if you just simply have a needle and thread. And, you don t even have to be a master seamstress to make curtains either. Simply thread the needed back and forth to sew the hems and you can easily create beautiful curtains for your home without much effort at all.

Tip #5: Hems have to be strong. This means that you do need to either use thick thread or go over the hems a couple of times usually both. This way, if the curtains sag over time, you don t have to worry about the seam splitting or popping. So, you can easily create a heavier seam to begin with and you won t have to worry about anything.

Tip #6: Dress them up. Once you have your curtains up and ready to rock, use the items that you purchased to dress them up. Take flowers and spread them along the tops, wrap ivy around the curtains, or simply attach some bows to the tops of them. It won t take much to create a unique look that you ll be proud of.
