'Islam Allows Rape & Torture of Prisoners'
[ Iranian Imam: Islam Allows Raping, Torturing Prisoners ] - A highly influential Shi'a religious leader, with whom Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad regularly consults, apparently told followers last month that coercion by means of rape, torture and drugs is acceptable against all opponents of the Islamic regime. Warning: The imam's question-and-answer session, partially reproduced here, contains disturbing descriptions of the sanctioned brutality. In the wake of a series of publications worldwide regarding the rape and torture of dissident prisoners in Iran's jails, supporters of Ahmadinejad gathered with him in Jamkaran, a popular pilgrimage site for Shi'ite Muslims on the outskirts of Qom, on August 11, 2009. According to Iranian pro-democracy sources, the gathered crowd heard from Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi and Ahmadinejad himself regarding.........

[ Authorities Use Feces To Find Suspected Thief ] - Canada: Detectives are interested in what a thief left behind in a string of burglaries in Valencia County. A Belen home is one of hundreds targeted by thieves in Valencia County, but deputies said this burglary was different. The county sheriff said the bandit stole guns that were more like heirlooms to the homeowner. The guns were passed down through the generations and the homeowner, who was afraid to show his face, said he is still coming to grips with the loss. "It's like they ripped my heart out," the homeowner said. It's what the bandit did next that's baffling. He smoked the cigarettes in the home. "He ate their food and drank the drinks they had," said Valencia County Sheriff Rene Rivera. The thief used the bathroom and left his solid waste on display for......... Who Knows This Soldier & The Assaulted?
[ Who Knows This Soldier And His Captive? ] - Nigeria: The young man you see in this photograph was in the vice-like grip of an enraged soldier drafted to violently quell the spontaneous protest over the announcement of results of the last governorship election in Osun State on April 15, 2007. Please, do not ask me how we sourced this photograph as the question will never elicit any answer. Our source, whose identity is known only to God Almighty made this photograph available to us. In this edition, the photograph has returned as the subject of our enquiry. Events in Osun State have continued to confound the most reticent and cool- nerved in the comity of men. It is surprising that a nation that was held spell-bound to the tales of horror during the sitting of Justice Chukwudifu Oputa panel, has learnt nothing from the gory tales of Nigeria's dirty past. Not even during the military era did anyone have the temerity to violate the law with impunity and get away with it as it is today. Nigeria, our dear country, is passing through a difficult time today because those who have seized the reins of administration by the jugular after hijacking the electoral process with abrasive corruption and violence on.........
