The ad in question features the "Director of Rumour Confirmation" responding to a consumer asking about the $299 PS3 price-cut rumours, to which the Director responds: "Bernie you can't believe everything you read on the Internet, otherwise I would be a Nigerian Millionaire by now." The US campaign for the PS3 Slim was seen as a return to form for Sony Computer Entertainment, showing that they can not only make fun of themselves, but also understand internet memes. Man Gets Prison For Anus Rape, Blackmail
[ Man gets prison for sexual violation, blackmail ] - New Zealand: A Wanganui man has been jailed for 8 1/2 years for sexually violating a woman with a metal kitchen whisk and then trying to blackmail her with doctored pornographic pictures. The High Court in Wellington was told today that Michael George Mead, 48, had spiked the woman's drinks at a party and committed the sex attack while she was in a drugged state. Mead, who had his name suppression lifted today, was found guilty of sexual violation with a foreign object in a High Court trial at Wanganui in June. He had earlier pleaded guilty to charges of blackmail, indecent assault and male assaults female. The offences occurred between November 31 and December 17, 2007. However, the more I grow older and wiser and continue to analyze this country, the more I realize that Nigeria is far from being a great country. The definition of a great country may vary slightly from one person to the other, but I expect all the definitions to contain some of the same ingredients. I expect to hear that a great country is one that protects its citizens, where the political system is relatively stable, one that provides quality education and healthcare to its people, one where basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, an efficient transport system are available and work, whether or not they are provided by the private or public sector and one where the rule of law reigns and citizens can find redress in the law courts. Unfortunately, all of these things are currently not ingredients of the Nigerian state. Roads, water, healthcare, education, security, access to justice and electricity (to mention a few) are not readily available to the majority of Nigerians. Maybe they once........
