Christians in Politics – Right or Wrong?

Christians in Politics – Right or Wrong?

Politics as a profession is generally devoted to governing, and political affairs. It is a process by which groups of people make decisions, and consists of social relations involving authority or power. It also refers to the regulation of a political unit, and the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy.
In some countries however, the political system is termed corrupt, and this, as a result of acts done by such people who are driven by self ambition rather than the success of their nation, leaves a stigma on politics. Consequently, many Christians tend to disassociate themselves from politics, while those involved in it, who want to make a difference, are constantly faced with the temptation of giving in to corruption.
The Bible says in Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people“. Should Christians then be involved in politics, in such nations where politics is corrupt?
Share your thoughts and testimonies and let’s inspire one another in the truth.
God bless you!
