God's Recreation - Your Human Spirit

God's Recreation - Your Human Spirit

A child born amongst monkeys may behave like a monkey, but he will always have the nature of a man. However, he might go without clothes and feed on bananas because he was brought up amongst monkeys. He might climb trees like a monkey because that was what he was trained to do, but the moment he discovers that he can wear clothes, it will dawn on him that he does not belong to the family of monkeys. He then begins to lead a new lifestyle because he is awakened to the reality of the kind of life that he has. This is how a Christian progressively manifests the nature of God. Man is made to grow spiritually, and as he does, the fruit of the spirit becomes increasingly manifest in his life.

A man with a recreated spirit can do anything he sets his heart to do. For example, if you do not know how to sing but you desire to, you can commit that desire into the hands of the Holy Spirit and He will help you. Your desire might be to study to be intelligent; the Holy Spirit will help you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The recreated human spirit is designed to make progress. You do not have to struggle to excel since you already have all that it takes, just do excellent things! When you make up your mind to develop your human spirit, you will walk in God's gifts and power and you will move in His glory.
God has recreated your spirit to know the difference between right and wrong. When you do right, joy wells up in you, but when you do wrong, you are convicted through your conscience - the voice of your recreated human spirit.

Rest In His Love

This is the picture of the nature of our Heavenly Father. Once you repent and say, `Father, forgive me', God is quick to forgive because it is His nature to forgive. The prodigal son's father killed the best of his calf to celebrate his return. This depicts God as an ever forgiving and ever loving Father. A father rejoices when he finds his lost child.

If a lost child returns to God, He will receive him to establish him in the right path. He will never be anything less in God's hand; God would place him in his right position - an heir of the kingdom. We are joyful because God is merciful. No matter how grievous a man's sins are, God will still forgive and forget. There is a confident assurance in us that God never looks out for our faults. Instead of finding flaws, He follows us with His tender presence. Having this kind of confidence in God's love comes by acquaintance with Him. If any child of God knows and understands the nature of His Father, he would be joyful at all times, because God does not look at us to destroy us. Rather His love follows us everywhere we go. Indeed, we have a cause to be joyful!

God does manifest Himself in the lives of both the great and small. He gives every child of His everything in the superlative. He can do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever think or imagine. Some people think that they cannot be happy because of their background or where they work. It is not those things that matter. It is your location in Christ that matters.

The prodigal son came from a wealthy family but he was not happy because of his relationship with his Father at that particular time. However, the moment he realised who he really was, he got the best. The Father gave him the best calf, a new ring, new clothes, a beautiful feast and made him happy. When you have a proper relationship with God, you will enjoy His provisions. Mere looking at Deuteronomy 28:2-5, alone tells you what He has in stock for every Christian:

"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store."

Your basket here is not talking of a physical basket, but your bank account. This is just the secret, put all your trust in Him. He says, `you are blessed.' Do you know what that means? He is saying that you have been empowered for success. You have been empowered to produce results. Blessed shall you be anywhere you go and in whatever you do. Everything should work for you as His child. Sometimes, people work and do not succeed, they toil and labour in vain. This goes to show that such people need a source greater than the physical. In the physical, you can only increase your wages, but you need a supernatural source to increase your wages to overflowing. Some people attribute their lack of success to another force, but when you have God as your source, you will be a success everywhere you go.
